In Module 2, trainees will be able to share the insight experience of local and regional experts in the travel industry.  This is also a 12-day course, excluding the course opening and closing sessions, tea breaks, and any other unscheduled activities in class. This programme is designed for a maximum of 20 trainees, who are mainly already guides.

Target Audience

The following target beneficiaries should attend this course:

  • Trainees who have completed the first module.
  • Local tour guides from the Sughd Region.
  • Local tour guides from other tourism destinations in Tajikistan.
  • Representatives of the Tourism Department of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Criteria: 

  • Certificate of completion of the first module.
  • Minimum of one year’s work experience in the field.
  • Good command of English.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this module, trainees will be able to:

  • Conduct local tour guiding, reflecting high standards of guiding, customer service, and operational best practice;
  • Explain the tourism industry and why people travel, focusing on historical and cultural attractions, local traditions and lifestyles, and the available tourism services.
