One day my uncle called me and he said ” Hey, do you want to be a guide for the tourists? ” This suggestion shocked me because I never thought about this job at all. So I replied ” I want but I don’t believe on my personal skills for guiding service. ” He gave me some advises and materials for learning and training. I worked as a assistant guide for a while with him.
On that time I remembered a quote: Do what you love or love what you do.
Nowadays I can say without any doubt that working as a guide gives me endless pleasure. Showing our country,explaining traditions, talking on history, visiting historical and cultural places, especially man gradually higher up his knowledge on different sights of life. When I get itinerary of the tour I try to make more interesting and attractive than previous one. I prefer to learn psychology, logic and a bit philosophy , these subjects are very important to communicate with people you never meet before. Everyone has own character and I think first of all tour guide should be flexible .
As you know Tajikistan is mountainous country and I’m working as a mountain trekking guide. So this job totally changed my life because I have opportunity of being with nature and on the same time I’ve good salary. Of course our company Paramount Journey is always helping us to achieve successes.
