Hello! I welcome you to the Tajikistan Guides page. Tajikistan Guides is a group of passionate volunteers who are interested in contributing to the development of tourism in Tajikistan by educating and training young travel enthusiasts to become guides and tourism experts.At Paramount Journey it is important to contribute to the education and socioeconomic development of the community, as well as to provide a high quality service for our guests. Investing in guide training is the optimal solution for achieving our goals. We encourage young, enthusiastic candidates to apply for training, which is conducted on a yearly basis. It is a great opportunity to meet and learn from leading guides, travel experts, and industry professionals.

Module 3: Adventure Guiding Training Course

29 March - 6 April, 2021 in Khujand | 4 - 12 April, 2021 in Dushanbe | 9 days from 9 AM to 4 PM incl. coffee and Lunch breaks | 15-20 participants | The tuition cost is fully covered by US Embassy | 2 trainers & internationally recognized certificates awards | Deadline - 24 March

Course details

Structure of the courses

There are three planned modules. Each module is designed for three different levels of trainees. Module 1 is for newcomers and current guides. Module 2 is for current guides who wish to be trained by regional experts from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. After the second module, there will be an assessment. Those who pass will be awarded with certificates and the opportunity of a paid internship with a leading travel companies. Module 3 is designed for those guides who have already passed Module 2 and have some professional experience guiding in the tourism industry.

MODULE 1: INTRODUCTION
MODULE 1: INTRODUCTION

In module 1, the trainees will learn the core components of tour guiding job with basic knowledge of his/her local travel attractions.  This is a 12 days’ course excluding course opening and closing, tea breaks or any other unscheduled activities in class. This program is designed for a maximum of 20 trainees.

MODULE 2: GUIDELINES

In Module 2, trainees will be able to share the insight experience of local and regional experts in the travel industry. This is also a 12-day course, excluding the course opening and closing sessions, tea breaks, and any other unscheduled activities in class. This programme is designed for a maximum of 20 trainees, who are mainly already guides.

MODULE 3: INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS

In Module 3, trainees will be able to sharpen their skills to international guiding standards, and get certified by an international guiding authority. This module will be organised with the support of international donors, and will be scheduled in the fourth semester of 2020.

Our Lecturers

In modules 1 and 2 there will be expert trainers from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as guest lecturers from respected travel companies. Those trainees studying for Module 3 will be certified by an international coach.
